Applicational Preaching and Teaching. It really doesn't do anyone any good to just know the facts found in the Bible; we need to know how they apply to our life. We commit ourselves to answering the question "So What?" every time we open God's Word together.
Leadership that is Authentic. Our leaders strive to lead by example. We don't drag or drive people at Calvary. Instead we all join side by side as we make our spiritual journey together.
Vigorous Thinking. Because the Word of God is our authority for what we do, say, and think, we encourage our people to carefully compare what they are taught with God's Word. Here at Calvary, you won't be told, "Because I said so, that's why!"
Aimed by Purpose. With so many good things that can be done, we strive to limit ourselves to doing what is best. Our fundamental purpose for everything we do as a church is to bring people closer to God and closer to others.
Regarding Every Member as a Minister. God's Word clearly teaches that every believer has at least one spiritual gift that God has given them for the purpose of building up the church. We go to great lengths at Calvary to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to use those gifts to serve God in and through CBF.
Yielding to the Membership. The members of Calvary are a church family. We make decisions as a family. We love as a family. We hold each other accountable as a family. We accept counsel as a family. Being part of Calvary means you are not walking through life alone.
