Below is some information just to make your first visit to our church a little smoother. If you have further questions please do not hesitate to email us or ring the church office at (06) 870-7435.

How Do I Dress?

What you wear to CBF is up to you. Dress ranges from "smart causal" to jeans and a t-shirt. Don't worry about what you wear, just come prepared to worship God and fellowship with people who are more concerned with who you are rather than what you wear.

What Do I Bring?

We believe that everything we do, say, think, and believe should be based on what God shows us from the Bible. If you have a Bible, bring it with you. If not, we have plenty of extras and would be happy to give you one. Other than that, just bring yourself!
Where Do I Park?

We have a carpark in front of our building with an entrance off Mayfair Avenue. There is also space for overflow parking in front of the building on Karamu Road.

What happens after the service?

We love to fellowship at Calvary!  Every Sunday morning we have a cuppa after the service.  During this time we all just informally gather together to spend time with each other.  No one will put you on the spot or force you to make any decisions (other than "tea or coffee?").  You are invited to stay after the service and enjoy a cuppa with us.

Where Do My Children Go?

We have caring volunteers who will be happy to watch your infant during the service. The crèche is located very close to the main room. Everyone else starts out in the main service for the singing. Just before the preaching begins, children up to the age of 11 are dismissed to another room for a specially designed service for them. Again, trained volunteers will carefully teach your children God's Word at their level.
Will I Be Singled Out?

At the front door, one of our greeters will give you a sincere and warm welcome, a notice sheet, and a visitor packet. You will probably be greeted by several other people in the church…because we just like to meet people! Once you get into the main room, you will not be publically singled out in any way. We know attending a new church sometimes can be a bit scary. You'll not be asked to introduce yourself, to give anything in the collection, or pressured to make any decisions. We'll be glad to have you and honoured that you have chosen to worship with us.
